If you’re reading this, know that struggling doesn’t make you weak; it makes you human.
This year has challenged me in ways I couldn’t have imagined. I’ve faced moments that made me question myself, my strength, and even my purpose. People will test you. They’ll doubt you. Some will be unkind and try to keep you in dark places because your light reminds them of their own shadows. But you were never meant to stay there. You were built to rise.
Every challenge, every scar, every tear you’ve shed is proof that you’ve survived what was meant to break you. Strength isn’t about pretending everything is fine; it’s about showing up for yourself, even when your heart feels heavy. Healing doesn’t happen overnight, and that’s okay. The key is to take one step, one breath, one act of courage at a time.
As a Sergeant, and as a woman who has fought to overcome so much, I’ve learned that real leadership begins with empathy and honesty. Sometimes the greatest strength we can show is admitting that we’ve struggled too.
So, if you’re reading this and you’re struggling, please know this: you are not alone. You are not broken. You are enough just as you are. People may try to dim your light, but your light was never meant to be hidden. Keep believing in yourself, keep rising, and remember your story isn’t over! Stay strong.
