IfYoureReadingThis.org is one of many great resources available to Rice students. Below we’ve provided a brief description of a few of these resources, as well as how to access them. While this list is not exhaustive, we hope it is helpful.
Student Wellbeing Office
The Student Wellbeing Office helps students seeking support with personal, social, or academic challenges. Wellbeing advisors help students navigate conflicts, identity struggles, or life stressors and connect them to resources across campus. The office also provides wellbeing education and outreach programs to promote coping skills and a culture of care at Rice.

Rice Counseling Center
The Rice Counseling Center offers free, confidential mental health services to students, including short-term therapy, assessment, and consultation. Licensed psychologists, counselors, and social workers provide compassionate, individualized care for issues such as anxiety, grief, identity, relationships, and academic stress. Crisis support is available 24/7 by phone.

Rice Health Advisors (RHA)
Rice Health Advisors are trained student leaders who promote wellbeing and mental health awareness within the residential colleges. RHAs offer peer support, help connect students to campus resources, and work closely with the Wellbeing and Counseling Center to foster a culture of care. Information and contact information for RHA’s can be found through residential college’s respective websites.
SAFE Office
The Sexual Assault Free Environment (SAFE) Office provides confidential support to students affected by sexual misconduct, relationship violence, or harassment. Services include crisis response, advocacy, accompaniment, and prevention education.

Multicultural Center
The Multicultural Center supports students from diverse backgrounds through advocacy, mentoring, and programming that fosters inclusion and belonging. MCC also promotes cultural awareness and leadership development across the Rice community.

Student disability resource Center
The Student Disability Resource Center ensures equal access for students with disabilities by coordinating academic and housing accommodations, advocating for inclusion, and promoting accessibility across campus.
