If you’re reading this, you are not alone, and everyone goes through periods of struggles.
Regardless of where you are, there will always be countless people who are grateful to have you in their lives and enjoy any moment they share with you. As someone who personally had issues with self-worth and mental health in general, I can promise that it will get better, even if it doesn’t feel like that at the moment. When my dog died and my closest friends slowly stopped talking to me, I had never felt so isolated and unsure as to whether or not it was worth it to continue trying in school or keep myself healthy. Generally anything to do with maintaining my life and relationships felt hard. In spots like these, while you can’t magically feel better one day or pretend that everything is fine, you can still take small steps to keep yourself going and enjoy your time; I like taking short walks through nature to briefly forget about everything else and enjoy life in the moment or spending some time with someone who cares about me. It wasn’t much, and I would still feel lonely on the weekends staying in or sad thinking that I would never see my dog again, but it gave me just the smallest reminder that things weren’t all so bad. Slowly but surely, things felt better and worth trying for. Hopefully, reading this can be its own small reminder that you’re not alone and that things will get better.
