If you’re reading this, don’t expect yourself—accept yourself.

Too often, we place expectations upon ourselves, and in my personal experience, it leads to negative emotions such as shame and guilt. It does us no good to sit in those feelings; however, we can accept that they are there and provide space for them to exist, while we continue to live our lives.

Eventually, the energy of the feeling will dissipate. You are stronger than you have realized, and I’m writing this to tell you. You’re doing amazing, keep going. Keep accepting, and you’ll set yourself free. We have so many others around to love and accept us, but until we do it for ourselves, we don’t know true peace. Oftentimes we seek for something we have within ourselves. Look around you and deeply know that everything was a thought before it became something you could see, approach your peace that way too.

Create your peace through acceptance.
