If you’re reading this, we are always here for you.

If you’re reading this, it’s okay to feel lost. Moving to such a big school can be extremely overwhelming and daunting at times. You may sometimes feel like you don’t quite belong or not quite like yourself. You are not alone, as this happens to so many people during this stage of change. When I first came to UF, I was so overwhelmed and didn’t know where to begin or how to feel like my most authentic self. I joined Tri Delta and realized that so many other girls were feeling the same way. I have made some of the greatest friendships of my life, all because I opened up and took a leap of faith choosing to go through sorority recruitment. I now serve as the President of this organization, and it has been my greatest joy to help all the women of our chapter be their most authentic selves and come out of their shells. Sometimes, pushing yourself a little out of your comfort zone can be just what you need, and it can create the kind of support system you are looking for. College is the best time of your life, but also the time you find out truly who you are and get to know yourself. Try new things, meet people from all different places, and be kind to yourself. These memories will last a lifetime, and sometimes feeling lost can be the best way to find out things you never knew yourself.

Katherine Wiggens, Chapter President

If you’re reading this, you belong here. Starting your journey at UF can feel overwhelming, and finding your place on such a large campus is not always easy. But there is a place for you. Trust the path you are on and know that every step is leading you closer to where you are meant to be. When I joined Tri Delta, I realized that many others felt the same way. We were all searching for purpose and belonging. But remember that it is okay to feel this way, and there is a beauty in not knowing what path lies ahead. Those moments of uncertainty can open doors you never expected. Be willing to explore, connect with others, and take opportunities as they come. Over time, the people and experiences that matter most will naturally become part of your life.

Isabel Hamilton, Vice President of Community Relations

If you’re reading this, you are a light. You are loved so much, even more than you may realize. When struggling with mental health, it is easy to get caught up in anxiety and self-doubt. It is easy to give way to racing thoughts and spiral into a negative mindset.

When this happens, it is important to lean on the people around you and use their support to build you up. We encourage you to challenge yourself and imagine the rooms that you are not in, that sing your praises, miss you when you are gone, and love you so unconditionally. These rooms light up when you enter, and they love you for who you are. You are a light in somebody’s life, and they appreciate you more than you know.

If you’re reading this, we are always here for you.

The Tri Delta DEIAB Team

If you’re reading this, you are incredibly brave and it’s okay to ask for help. Through my personal struggles with mental health, I have always avoided facing things head-on. I have a tendency to keep myself busy and create distractions in hopes that I won’t have to address my true emotions.

In time, however, I have learned it is better to heal and cope by facing your fears and feeling your emotions fully. By acknowledging these bold feelings, a door opens to healing and inner peace. You are brave, strong, courageous, and you can do this. Even when things are difficult, remember that progress and healing are not linear. If you are reading this, you are resilient, and you are not alone in this journey. Take everything one step at a time, and trust that each step is taking you somewhere brighter.

Ellery Frana

If you’re reading this, take a deep breath. You’ve made it to this moment, and that matters. Life can throw curveballs that leave us feeling overwhelmed, drained, or unsure of our place. Some days, our thoughts run faster than we can catch them, and it feels like we’re stuck in the middle of a storm. It’s important to remember: no one is perfect, and no one has control over every twist and turn life brings. But we do get to choose how we meet those moments—whether we let them break us down or help us build something stronger.

There will be days when you don’t feel like yourself, when your motivation is low or your confidence is shaky. That’s human. But even on those days, you still impact people more than you know. Your presence brings comfort, your kindness leaves a mark, and your laugh, smile, or even your quiet company can mean the world to someone.

You are important. You are loved. You are worthy, exactly as you are, in this moment. And you are never walking through life alone.

Sincerely,

Olivia Mahaz
