If you’re reading this, I stand with you.

If you’re reading this, I believe in you.

And if you’re reading this, I am so proud of you.

I know that your mind can be your biggest enemy at times, but I’m here to remind you that you are resilient and have the power to turn your mind into an ally, friend, and supporter. Battling poor mental health can be incredibly challenging, but you’ve made it this far. Read those last 5 words again - you’ve made it this far. Never forget that.

I want to remind you that mental health struggles are nothing to be ashamed of. It takes great strength and courage to acknowledge your struggles and seek help when needed. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, or any other difficulty in your life, know that you are worthy of support and care. I hope that reading my letter allows you to feel less alone and even if you’re struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel, know that I stand with you. I stand with you on the days that you can’t get out of bed. I stand with you when it feels nearly impossible to defeat your anxiety or depression. I stand with you when you feel guilty for existing in this world. I stand with you when you feel terrified and unprepared for the future. I pray that someday soon you can put your mind at peace and learn to love your mind, and feel loved by your mind, again.

Thank you all so much for giving me the opportunity to bring this amazing organization to VCU. My time with IfYoureReadingThis is something that I will cherish forever, and words can only begin to explain how much this organization means to me. I’m truly so grateful to be able to provide a platform for you to share your inspiring stories with the world, and your strength and willingness to be vulnerable has inspired me beyond measure. Your vulnerability has fostered a community of connection and understanding here at VCU, reminding us that we are not alone in our struggles. Thank you for inspiring me and countless others to embrace vulnerability, empathy, and compassion.

I hope that these letters continue to support each and every one of you through difficult times, and remind you that you are not alone. You have so many people, including myself, who care about you and need you in this world. I stand with you through every battle you face, and I pray that you find the strength to persevere.
